WELCOME TO ASD
Dear ASD Present & Future Families & Friends,
Let’s embrace what the summer holiday offers us–a time to relax, rejoice, reflect, and recharge.
Here at ASD, even in the heart of the rainy season, the work doesn’t stop. Classrooms are getting a savvy, new look. Educational programs are being enhanced. Our new expat teachers are being onboarded. Parents and students are building upon their language arts skills in summer workshops. Students are staying healthy and fit in our summer sports camps. And, our vast team is fine-tuning every last detail throughout campus. Why? Because when we open our doors on August 25th, we will deliver a school experience that’s stronger, smarter, and sharper than ever before.
Tony, my dogs, and I have been at ASD and in Douala for three years. And, one thing I have learned is the local culture hinges on honesty, trust, and above all respect. Given those three key cultural characteristics, ASD is a brilliant community that embraces those fundamental qualities. I stepped into this role not just to lead, but to listen, to lift, and to enlighten.
ASD is not just a school. It’s a foundation for your childrens’ incredible future.
A foundation of rigorous, stimulating education.
A foundation of bilingual brilliance and global awareness.
A foundation of community connectedness.
A foundation of love, support, and recognition for every member.
A foundation for university and career success!
If you’ve been wondering and watching from afar, now’s the time to lean in and learn more. Our Parent Referral Incentive is in full effect, and our Admissions Office is open all summer long. While our campus is getting a revitalized look, we’re ready to welcome new families. Call us. Email us. Let’s start the conversation about what’s best for your children—and why it should be here at ASD.
And if you catch Tony, Victor, Veronica, or I around the Bonapriso, don’t be a stranger. Whether we’re out walking, talking, or visiting with others, stop and say “Hello.” Share a thought. Share an idea. This is our neighborhood and our school.
Let the rain fall. Let the sun shine. Let the energy grow. The Griffins are on the rise. And, I can’t wait to welcome you back. Stay tuned for more.
Graciously,
Dr. Brooke
